DEVELOPON CONCEPT-X IS A REVOLUTION IN THE CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY INDUSTRY

The company Develon Infracore has developed digital technologies that can revolutionize the construction machinery industry. We are talking about the Concept-X project, an innovative solution that combines technologies related to information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence.

Concept-X is a solution based on technologies optimized for future construction sites, such as automated construction site survey tasks using drones, unmanned equipment automation and remote control based on 5G communication. Concept-X will meet the needs of customers and create new added value by increasing productivity and reducing costs and risks through accurate and efficient execution of projects on the construction site.

X-CENTER

The core of the Concept-X project is the X-Center, a management system that gives the user a one–time overview of the equipment on the construction and work site. The terrain of the work site is viewed using scanning performed by drones, and the data obtained is modeled in three-dimensional format to create work plans based on them.

Data collected from different sites are analyzed to compile instructions for automated equipment and integrated equipment management. In addition, the Fleet Manager fleet management system in the X-Center system gives the user the opportunity to remotely control and diagnose machine data for effective management and support. These data include the condition of the excavation, the route and planning of the work area, the location of the equipment and the working condition, the condition of the main parts and the detection of abnormal signals.

FULLY AUTONOMOUS OPERATION

Construction equipment with an unmanned automated solution can perform work accurately and quickly by receiving analyzed data from X-Center. The working movement of unmanned vehicles is most effectively created using actual data from experienced operators to achieve maximum productivity.

The unmanned excavator developed by Develon has a recognition, evaluation and control system. The unmanned excavator recognizes the environment using various sensors mounted on the excavator and autonomously evaluates and executes local work sequence plans, movement trajectory and driving routes. The unmanned excavator performs its work safely and accurately based on a collision and rollover prevention control system. The unmanned wheel loader has the same system as the unmanned excavator. The automated wheel loader autonomously draws up and implements additional work plans using remote control and transmission of information about the working condition of the equipment and workload.

FORECASTING AND CONDITION MANAGEMENT (PHM)

Unforeseen equipment failure leads to significant economic losses and serious risks at the construction site of the future, where fleet management (integrated management of several groups of equipment at once) will soon become commonplace. Forecasting and condition management is a technology that provides self–diagnosis of construction equipment and allows users to receive advance notification of a possible malfunction, so that work in any conditions is carried out without delay.

Automated equipment with PHM has a comprehensive self-diagnosis function and the ability to detect and analyze the load on the main parts and functions, as well as monitor their condition in real time. PHM performs proactive risk management by predicting the remaining life of the equipment by checking the history of changes in the states of each part, as well as the current state of the equipment as a whole.
